When and what time does the Festivus take place?
The 2025 Rochester Renaissance Festivus takes place on Sunday May, 4th, from 12:00pm until 5:00pm.
Is the event only for 21+?
Can children attend?
This is a family friendly event. Many people attend with their families, including children and elders. There are plenty of activities, vendors, and entertainment that will delight people of all ages.
Three Heads Brewing, the Festivus venue, serves beer, wine, seltzer and cider. They do not serve hard liquor. if you want bar access you will have to show your ID to security for a wrist band, as you must be 21+ in order to be served alcohol.
Will there be food at the event?

Can I drop my kid off at the event?
No, all children must be accompanied by an adult.
Can I bring my dog or my pet?
Yes! If your pet is comfortable around a crowd setting you are welcome to bring them. Pets are allowed outside in the Plaza and Patio areas. Dogs must be leashed at all times, and no animal can be left unattended.

In the past we have had dogs, a cat, a bunny and reptiles attend the Festivus.

Is there parking?
The Festivus takes place at Three Heads Brewing, 186 Atlantic Ave.

Is there an entrance fee?
Yes, admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids 5+ and free for kids under 5.
This fee allows us to compensate all of the talented entertainers, with proceeds going to Mended Little Hearts.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes! Our venue, Three Heads Brewing is wheel chair accessible. The Festivus takes place both inside and outside, with no stairs and handicap accessible bathrooms.
Can I come in costume?
Do I have to wear a costume?
Does it have to be a medieval costume?
Costumes are encouraged but not mandatory. Many people attend in costume and many do not. We highly encourage our attendees to come as they wish. Be yourself in any form, there is no judgement at the Festivus.
Costumes do not need to be medieval. We are accepting of all forms of cosplay and fashion so long as it is not offensive or with messages of hate. We welcome superheroes along with knights in armor and anime characters along with skeletons.
